I am Jean-Christophe Peret (nickname JC). I was born in France but I have been living abroad for more than twenty years, currently in the Netherlands, where I live with my wife and 3 children.
At the peak of my career, working for Shell, my wife was diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition and we journeyed through three very difficult years. This period was transformational and made me leave my corporate career and express and manifest in the world who I really am.
My life perspective on life until then had been on making money and collecting success, so I could do the activities I really liked, with the expectation they would bring me happiness. I disrupted that perspective and turned it upside down by deciding to be happy and content, so I could do what matters to me, with the expectation that it brings me ways to sustain myself and my family.
Coaching people and helping them see and move past their self-limiting beliefs makes me very happy and this is where I started. Since then I have become a certified business coach while complementing my coaching education with neuroscience and psychology. I coach people in English or in French and sometimes in Dutch.
I have an experiential and practical coaching style with a focus on real-world solutions and embedding new practices and rituals in the lives of my clients so that they can sustain transformation over time. I use my intuition, curiosity, knowledge, storytelling skills, and unconventional life perspectives to help people clarify and reframe what is limiting them in their lives.
I also bring humor, lightness, and "joie de vivre" to make it a meaningful and memorable journey.
I have a broad education as well as a varied professional life. I studied Pure Mathematics and Physics, Economics and Business Studies as well as Psychology and Neuroscience. An engineer by training, I worked for 20 years as a commercial and procurement leader in the automotive (Peugeot-Citroen) and oil&gas (Shell) industries all over the world, living with my family in 6 different countries, managing teams and complex commercial projects.
I have always nurtured my personal and spiritual development as I believe the more self-aware someone is, the more he or she will be able to connect with others and understand them. I have been a yoga and meditation practitioner for more than 20 years.
I love sports and have done many depending on where I was living, currently playing tennis and running.
